What this training is about
Test Awareness explains what testing is, how it fits within a development cycle and what you can (and cannot) expect to learn from test results. It explains the links between testing and other project-related terms like quality, risk and acceptance.
With the fundamentals covered, the training focuses on the testers themselves: what kind of skills and attitude do they need? What are the differences between testers, test automation engineers and developers? And how will AI change the existing dynamics?
All concepts introduced during the training use ISTQB (the de facto worldwide test standard) terminology, so anyone who wants to dive deeper into testing after this training is already prepared.

Program
Outline
Test Awareness is available as an interactive training for groups of 4 to 10 people, and as a lecture (with room for questions) for larger groups, with no upper limit. Either way, the training takes half a day — morning, afternoon or evening — and includes a break and plenty of time for questions from participants during and after the presentations.
The training is given in Dutch or English; slides are in English either way. Digital handouts of the training materials will be made available afterward.

Who teaches this
Gwen Calluy founded U-Turn Quality after working for twenty years as IT consultant, project manager and test manager across high-tech and IT organizations. Through advice, training and coaching she helps organizations get back in control. She is an accredited trainer for Foundation and Advanced level ISTQB courses.
